**Amber Alert: Mother Charged in Alleged Abduction of Two Children in Kelowna** **Updated: July 30, 2023** **Original Publish Date: July 29, 2023** Surrey RCMP issued an Amber Alert on Saturday, July 29, 2023, after two children were allegedly abducted from the Kelowna, BC area. The children's father reported to Surrey RCMP that the children had not been returned to him after a visit with their mother. **Suspect:** * The children's mother, whose identity has not been released **Charges:** * Abduction of a child under 14 **Vehicle:** * The suspect is believed to be driving a black 2022 Honda CR-V with BC license plate FP 147K **Children:** * Tyler Hoggle, 5 years old, blonde hair, blue eyes * Hailey Hoggle, 3 years old, blonde hair, blue eyes Anyone with information on the children's whereabouts is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately. The Amber Alert, which lasted over a week, was issued after the children were reported missing on February 6th. On Saturday evening, the children were found safe and are now in police custody. The mother was arrested shortly after. The family has expressed their devastation over the incident and spoke about their love for the missing siblings. **Charges Laid in Amber Alert Case: Mother and Companions Accused of Abduction** Surrey, BC – The Surrey RCMP have arrested and charged Verity Bolton, 45, with two counts of abduction in contravention of a custody order. Her companions, Abraxas Scherbing-Glazov, 53, and her father, are also facing charges. The charges stem from the province-wide Amber Alert issued on June 28 for eight-year-old Aurora Bolton and 10-year-old Joshuah Bolton. The Amber Alert has now been cancelled. According to the RCMP, Verity Bolton is the mother of the missing children. She is accused of taking them without the consent of their father. Scherbing-Glazov is charged with two counts of abduction of a person under the age of 16. Police believe that Bolton's father is also involved in the case, but he has not yet been charged. The RCMP say that Verity Bolton and her companions are believed to be traveling with the children. Police are asking the public for their assistance in locating the missing children and their abductors.
