Andrei Caldararu Professor of Mathematics at University of Wisconsin-Madison
Background and Education
Andrei Caldararu is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. His research interests lie in algebraic geometry, symplectic geometry, and representation theory.
Recent Accomplishments
In 2022, Caldararu received an FRG Focused Research Group grant from the National Science Foundation NSF joint with Benjamin Antieau Northwestern and Max Lieblich. This grant will support their research on the geometry and topology of moduli spaces of curves and their applications to enumerative geometry.
Caldararu is also a co-author of the textbook "Categorical Enumerative Invariants I", which was published in 2020.
