Cocaine and cannabis worth €1.57m seized in Dublin
Gardaí have seized cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of €1.57 million following an intelligence-led operation in Dublin.
The drugs were discovered during a search of a premises in the north inner city on Thursday, August 11.
Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit carried out the search operation as part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
During the course of the search, gardaí discovered and seized approximately 15kgs of cocaine and 41kgs of cannabis herb.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is €1.1 million for the cocaine and €470,000 for the cannabis herb.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and he is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
